Cairo is one #($%&$#'n crowded city!!! horns constantly honking, traffic jams around the clock.. it's crazy! just check the fotage!
officially Cairo ranks in the top 25 most populated cities (according to wiki it's #22 with 6 million people). with the trains and commuters, this number doubles. i've never been in a place so crowded!
think New York, then make the buildings right next to each other and take away all the parks and add more buildings... triple the traffic and take away all the traffic laws.. sprinkle in a few donkeys and you're beginning to see the picture.

the beer is in short supply.. that's because it's sooooo GOOD! Stella is the government brand. great stuff. you'll see that here in an upcoming post.. i think it's the set off... keep watch'n and thanks for the comment!
it was great ppl watch'n. there are like cafes 4 to a block for this very purpose. it's crazy, crowded, and FUN!
Cairo reminds me a lot of St. Petersburg. I wasn't expecting that at all. Interesting!
Makes me miss my days of bumming the world....Those were some fun years experiencing a whole different life from the one I now live.
Enjoyed seeing a bit of Cairo. I finished reading 'The Man in the White Sharkskin Suit' a couple weeks ago and got some insights into a history I never knew, that of Egypt and its former Jewish residents. Interesting and sad story, from both sides.
